-        Researched options for future energy sources and usage. Consulted with thinkers and experts, defined scope and designed an extensive framework for rational comparison of Energy options across all sectors. (Similar to that used to transform Hi-tech in the 1990Õs).

Office Systems Management (2004-2006)

-        Transformed a small business to enable a quadruple increase in annual revenues, albeit during favorable market conditions. Introduced office processes, ran LAN, managed s/w updates and optimized system performance. Revamped customer services & marketing to increase client base.

 

Consultant Experience (Worldwide 1987-99)

-        Led first 5 sales, on 5 continents, of secure eCommerce under contract to Compaq. Created sales go-to market plan & executed on time and inside budgets.

-        Composed and directed key project rescue programs for companies as diverse as SIAC (Scandinavia), Northumbria Police (UK), Southwestern Bell (Miss, USA) and the California DMV.

-        Ensured inclusion of key regional and user requirements as prime consultant to two task forces for hi-tech corporation in Silicon Valley; the first task force heralded centralized support, the second reset company strategy for system manageability.

-        Developed a structured Business Framework adopted around the world by significant organizations (e.g. the Korean Ministry of Information) and consulting groups (e.g. Gresham FS in Europe.

 

Business Intermediary Work (1988-99)

-        Resolved conflicts between vendors, vendor customers and third parties, usually to avert a business crisis or to save and close 5 figure sales that had stalled.

-        Defined and oversaw the implementation of rescue plans for several companies in open conflict by isolating critical topics and getting executive buy-in on recovery actions.

-        Resolved internal issues within corporations to propel implementation of business plans. (e.g.: AT&T, The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Securities Industries Systems, Pacific Bell)

 

Consultant Experience (Europe-wide 1983-87)

-        Led 3 major banks to be in the first four to implement new technology and complete the stringent 9 month, cooperative, disaster-to-fall-back network tests for CHAPS (Clearing House Automated Payments System, UK Ð the first such system worldwide)

-        Advised  the CLCB (Central London Clearing Banks) special committee on CHAPS on the integration, organization and planning of the implementation.

-        Averted crises and recovered business stability through critical auditing, organizational analysis and quality assurance with many European clients (e.g. British Telecom, Horizon Travel, several major banks, the Swiss Post Office, Deutsche Bank, and key manufacturing companies).

 

Training & Process Development

-        Obtained record high turnouts and near-perfect ratings for a series of international seminars produced for high-tech specialists in Europe and California (1990-92).

-        Developed and taught workshops for high-level Consultants in 8 locations in the USA, Canada and Europe (1989-92).

-        Developed and implemented New Business Growth program and Executive Conflict Resolution process to help companies to success in the Film & Healthcare industries (1994-95)

 

Software and Project Development

-        Developed and documented company quality standards for on-line computer development & user interface (Barclay's Bank International - 1978).

-        Dramatically cut development time (by 77%) for Barclays Bank International's worldwide network through design and development of network software and skeleton programming tools. (1979-80)

-        Designed and specified international banking applications (1979-82).

-        Co-designed Automated Clearing System (CHAPS, London, 83) for two major banks.
